Baltic Birch |
|
| Sorry, no photo available at this time. |
Common Name: Baltic Birch Description: Baltic Birch is a very unique plywood. Ulike most plywoods, baltic birch contains all hardwood plys. This makes baltic birch much stronger and heavier than typical softwood lumber core ply. Because it contains all hardwood plys, the outer plys and inner plys are all the same thickness. Baltic birch is a very ligh color plywood. The grain is very light as well. Because of very light color it is seldom used in traditional furniture as a exterior wood. However, certain modern styles may favor the very light almost grain-free look. It is available in a variety of thicknesses. I our area it is available in 1/4", 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" thickness. Hardness: Price: $$
